As requested, the Hound e mailed me his sanding related advice as though in response to a query on the subject. This I printed off and passed to Mrs Nick.

She then appeared nearby, saying nothing, but inspecting floor surfaces. She then appears to agree that Snoopy may have a point BUT
 eeek: eeek: eeek: eeek:

then says that whoever we get in to do the job can ALSO do ALL THE STAIRS and possibly another entire room too  noooo:

This will mean dust all over the fooking house, vast expense and prolly having to move out for a few days  cry:

I only hope that whoever we find to do it will either refuse part of the job or come up with such an astronomical quote that she will revert to getting the one room done  noooo:

Can you define 'astronomical' for us, in more readily understood units of cost?
