Been out ~ one of the things on the list was to take a watch back to the jeweller who had repaired it about three weeks ago  ::). It's stopped again but under repair guarantee.
So, I arrive to find the metal shutter half down. I peer under and see that there are staff in the shop but the closed sign is against the door. Their phone number's on the receipt so I decide to call to see if they're open or closed...

It rings, and rings... and then I notice to the side of the shop a cable lying on the pavement with wires coming out of it like one of those 70's fibre optics lamps  eeek:

Look again inside and there's a copper making notes and member of staff's arm picking things from a very empty window display.

Oops.  whistle:
