Buy a new one ~ they are so cheap they are not worth spending money on to repair.

I buy a new one every five years or so. Works out at under ?40 a year which is cheaper than buying an "extended warranty" or going to the launderette. I have to add that with 5 in the household the damned thing is in daily use.

I used to have a handle on life but it broke.
