A couple of Sunday's ago the Lexus ACTUALLY went wrong - fan belt. First thing (apart from a couple of brake lights) to go wrong in 120,000 miles. Anyhoo, not wanting to leave it in the car park at work, I decided to drive it 1/2 mile down the road to the pub - it would be easier for the recovery truck to get it from. Driving it without power steering was...erm... challenging, however I got it there and there it stayed until Saturday morning when my mate finally managed to get it recovered to his garage (the bad weather caused the delay). He rang me Saturday to give me the bad news that the fan belt went due to the tensioner being seized. So new fan belt and tensioner kit required. Cost of the parts £118.47. Phone call yesterday from my mate to tell me the car is ready. I picked it up this morning, total cost of recovery, parts and labour was £118.47. That's what mates are. He will be getting very drunk at my expense next time he's in the pub.

Yesterday I was mainly buying a mangle and then getting very grumpy about a crap dongle reception.  today may be much the same but without the mangle.  There are only so many mangled a gerl wants.
I have always thought that the worst thing about drowning was having to call 'help!' You must look such a fool. It's put me against drowning.

Is this a mangled dongle as opposed to the missing dongle ????

Never dangle your dongle near the mangle lest the mangle grabs your dongle and mangles it.
