NiCd of course so they self discharge ver a month.   cry:   Got the drill with 2 batteries for £30 a few years back.  Amazon want £25 a battery now.  It does for most things but for serious work my corded one or even the mahoosive one from the tool rental shop comes out.  But being a devotee of avoiding DIY that may never happen again

We use them for werk, 6 hours non stop drilling per day (quite often into concrete)....leave them for 1 hour then another 6 hours would not be a problem. Once a month in for a service (20 snotters), then back on the job as new.  cloud9: They are the dog's....
