Ice-cold Carlsberg in hand now. Journey home extended as they have closed a road for repairs. Despite the fact that it's not meant to be closed until midnight...cower of shunts...

report them to the rozzers? Obstructing the highway being an offence like
I got caught on the M25 a few years back when they closed lanes early and a 3 hour tailback resulted. In the end the police turned up and ordered the sods to open them again. I got a lame apology from the Highways agency and I swore next time it happened to me I'd demand proper action.
As you say cowers of shunts.
