That remnded me, when I was getting diesel last week a bloke was on the adjacent pump in an immaculate 1963 DB5  cloud9: , we chatted briefly as we filled up, he never said how much it was worth but said it was the best investment he had ever made

That's got me thinking, I reckon it must have been late 70's when it went to 50p a gallon. I started driving in 1976, I think it was around 37p a gallon then  noooo:
