Now THIS one WAS a minter. Super version with the 1200 engine.
3 bearing only camshaft caused problems though.

Very rare in this totally original and unmolested condition.

Probably the 2nd best car at the show IMO.

My Dad's was (I think) XCG 369....

My sister had an ex-police one for a while... It had a big lump of bubblegum in the roof filling the hole where the wires went through for the lights...  lol:

Was it that pale 'plod blue' they used to use on the panda's?

Meanwhile, here's the very last 2.8 Capri squad car that was used in Munterchester up 'til 1991/2

Should have take more piccies of it, as it had been restored to its original state with the the help of the plod, but some twat that was also looking at it wouldn't ger'out of me way.  Banghead

This car was re-shelled during its service apparently. whistle:

Saw this Herald convertible with the fairly rare hard top in the CAR PARK! lol:
It was/is an absolute minter.

I remember the Herald being released, (''62 iirc) and stood in awe at it's incredible miniscule 24' turning circle and the abilty to step insude the engine bay to werk on it.
Some crackin' vids of them trying to take a corner at speed though

Always fancied the 2 litre Vitesse meself like.

My mate had a 13/60 (?) rag top Herald - we had some great times in it.....  cloud9:

I dunno... Shrugs:

I'm STILL waiting for a poxy circlip for the drive shaft that I ordered at the beginning of February...  cussing:

And I can't seem to get motivated to do anything else without it really... also, because I'm gonna lift the body over the front engine/subframe I don't want to put the winderz in and add more weight to it....

LL is away again in September - I'll get all the parts together and get stuck into it then....

Furnish me with all the info, part number, exact description etc. of said part, and I'll see if I can get one at the shows I'm visiting.
Loads of trade stands selling odd ball stuff, and sometimes Mini specilaists too.
