None of the Minis I ever owned had a radio ..... or the space to put one unless you slung it on brackets under the passenger side of the dash.  rubschin:

My dad's first car was so basic he had to install his own heater  eeek:

A heater was still optional in many post-war cars as I recall.
Many heaters were quite primitive, I remember the early Morris Minor had a thing like a round biscuit tin that sat on the bulkhead above the transmission tunnel and blew tepid air just over your feet.
