Nah. No such luck.
This show at Tatton Park is supposed to be one of the premier events of the year.

This year, it WAS actually bordering on shite.
Low attendance jusdging by the car park, and nowhere near as many cars on display as in previous years.

Only bumpers I could find where new Mini ones, but not Clubman unfortunately.

Generally speaking, the trade stands were very very poor, full of totally useless and unwanted unlabelled utter junk, and why on gods earth ANYONE would want to purchase cheap fake jewellery, bath towels, T shirts, wooley jumpers, assorted plastic toy shite, tat pictures, socks, plastic flip flops, general nasty cheap beach wear, plant pots and associated plants, bbq's, double glazing, conservatories, random plumbing materials, plastic water fountains, garden furniture including knomes, pixies, and fairies sitting on plastic toadstools at a bloody classic car show, is way way over my head. Shrugs:

The trade show I went to today was far from well attended; less so than previous for sure. Since it's targetted at small retailers that's surprising since Sunday is their closed day which gives them the opportunity to go and buy stock.  rubschin:  Sign of the times perhaps.

I shall nip over there again on Tuesday afternoon to pick up a couple end of show wholesale bargains ... well, it'll save them the trouble of taking them back to the factory  whistle:

Recession is only now becoming evident at 'our'level I fear.

Indeed she would have.
Tat mountain surplus was in full evidence.

Heard a couple of trade stand sellers complaining about lack of business.

If I was to set up a stand, I'd at least specialise in something motor related and completely unique and interesting, not the contents of the local scrap yard and crap scrounged from the local council tip assistants.

Just how many spray cans of BMC Sandstone Grey does the general public actually require ey, how many?

Correct.

NONE!
Tell that to the poor sod that seemingly purchased a job lot of 500 25 years ago for ?50 no doubt.

Recession is only now becoming evident at 'our'level I fear.

I was talking to one exhibitor I've known for some years. Reasonable size business in the West country; not doing badly considering the climate. He said he had a call from his bank manager last week asking how he was getting on. Not so bad, he said and enquired what things were like with other business customers ...

" ... er, not so good. We're going to see quite a few closures soon."  Tip of the iceberg, I fear.

No bumper then...  sad24:

Sorry mate. I did search every stand that was selling that kind of stuff.
As I said before, I could only find the original shape Mini bumpers (new)
They seem to be plentiful.

Have you asked the local club over there?
Probably best drawing up a list of what you do actually need first, and then blitzing them....and me. lol:

Good to see it home and safe anyway.

Apologies for sounding so enthusiastic, but classic cars are one of my favourite passions. Nowt that wrong in that is there...apart from boring the arse off some it seems?
