Play to your strengths and sub out work you feel is too much.

I have just Googled "Restoring a Mini 1275"
An astonishing number of sites with advice sections, Q&A sections and some useful looking "Where to get" tips.

Hard to believe that there are that many people doing it ~ that said one chap in this small village has four 850 minis and one Cooper lined up on his drive, all in various states of restoration. Progress is slow mind you as he has been at it since we moved here 9 years ago ...... but he has fathered three kids in that time so perhaps funding his hobby is difficult.
I used to have a handle on life but it broke.

No real deadline...

Got the wheels today but the tire guy (who said he had stock yesterday) didn't have the Yokohamas so I won't be able to collect them 'til next week now...

The guy that did the wheels can soda (sp?) blast the car for €600 or sand blast it for €200...  rubschin:

Go for the cheap option. What can possibly go wrong?

You did say it had holes in the Driver's side floor well?  rubschin:

Whatever you do don't get them blocked up.

Of course if it is one big hole it may be some form of emergency braking system.

Well, it is the only braking system it has at the moment...  lol:

I'm actually quite excited about these wheels. Xmas6:

 Piccies urgently required upon completion.

Did you take some close ups of them before you sent them to the re-furbisher like?

Yokees, mmmmm. cloud9:

I should have...

I expected to have them back today and take pictures next to the car...

By the way... the shot blaster guy has one of these... A Jaguar Type X 4.2 complete and runing with no visible rust and a lovely interior... what do you think it could be worth...?

We haggled with him today and it is ours for just €3,000...  rubschin:
