The Boy + Taking things apart ~ paid in fruit.

Why am I thinking "Every Which Way But Loose" here

I used to have a handle on life but it broke.

Enough of this meandering random tittle tattle.

HAVE YOU BOUGHT IT?

Don't think the back bumper is correct. Sure they were different on the Clubman, rubschin:

Thought they had twin SU's too?

THAT has bags of potential though, going by the few piccies available.
What's the subframe like?

Didn't realise Cypriot cars were RHD.

I've done the deal on the car - verbally at least...

Should pick it up next week.

Not sure about the bumper - it is a very early 1275 (1975) so perhaps they were different...? It has the Cooper S brakes...

Car was stuffed with boxes of brand new parts - exhaust system, Maniflow bits, discs, etc.

I've had two offers to buy it from me already!

I'll post some pictures of the 'spare' car too in a minute...

We all drive on the same side of the road as the UK here...

FWIW electrical sockets, telephone sockets are the same as the UK too...

Most satisfactory.
Presumably your friend from the Mini owners club approved then?

I'll check that bumper business out. I'm sure they were flatter rather than rounded on the Clubman.
Moanonium might know seeing as he had one.

A renovation has to be done so it's back to original as possible, and that is exactly the sort of thing that 'geeky anorak types' would pick up on.
Trivial to most, but important if you're spending a great deal trying to get it back to 'mint'.

I'm well chuffed with you anyway BM, as it's a big undertaking....and a a tad envious too. ;)

Have a looky here.

They only list one bumper...

Yes, I'd like to keep it original apart from the Stage 1 kit that comes with it... the manifold and exhaust looks cool....  razz:

First step, get it back here and document the dismantling... Then see what bodywork needs doing...

Not the best of pictures to satisfy my curiosity, but by virtue of the fact that the seller says that "they are very hard to find these days" indicates to me that this is the genuine Clubman rear bumper as the original Mini bumpers are readily available as your link shows.

Trivial as I say, but important none the less.

I am sure LL is thrilled  eveilgrin:

 Spank2: Spank2: Spank2: Spank2: Spank2: Spank2:

So what would she rather he do then do you think ey? rubschin:

Down the ale 'ouse every night, then onto a night club or casino? Home at 3:30 am three times a week, then out at 10 for yet another round of golf, and then back to the club house for a few more jars?

He'll be out in the garage nearly every night, overflowing with excited enthusiasm and pride, THAT'S what he'll be doing, and for that I applaud him. happy088

It's a big boys toy and project cus he's still a youngster at 'art, NOT some old bearded fart that would rather potter around the garden doing a bit of weeding wearing a beige cap waiting for the big black bus. Banghead

Interesting...  rubschin:

We'll have a look-see when we get it back here... or get them back here I should say - need to arrange some transport for next week sometime...

I've no doubt that the ale house, night club and casino will seem attractive options at some points through the build process...  lol:
