I had a 1974 teal blue Allegro 1500 Super.
That had 5 gears BM.
Reasonably reliable apart from a problamatic rear wheel bearing.
Nice car in my experience, extremely comfy with the Hydragas suspension, and the square wheel wasn't really an issue once you'd become used to it
Yes, the 1500 had 5 gears...
The 1300 was basically a Mini engine and transmission....
First car I ever had with 5 gears. I was SO excited at the time, I remember.
Nice mk3 for you's both anyway.
Absolute stunner with a mere 38k on it.
Interior was just as tidy too.
There was another one there that was drawing the crowds in, in Daytona Yellow.
First glances it looked stunning, all spotless under the wheel arches, and the owner was frantically Autogleaming all day long ....in the sun.
It was only whilst staring at it that I noticed the swage lines in the middle of the doors were not quite straight.
Crept up alongside it, leant down and looked along its side, and I tell ye, it was like a relief map of the Himalayas it had that much 'pudding' in it.
