All good.It goes a bit for a Datsun and is a lot more fun with the traction control turned off Much fun! The XJR was quite, um lively with TC off in sports mode... Anyhooo.... progress.... This is REALLY looking pretty damned tasty now BM.When's it having the shell lowered over it then? We will be fully expecting vid footage on its maiden voyage you know.. Even those those wheels in that pic are wrong btw^^^, they do actually look excellent on it.

My 1275GT originally had run-flat Denovos, a bit like thisbut being young I swapped them 8 spoke Wellers. They looked lovely right up until I buried the car into a big tree

I made a right mess of it - the offside front wheel was where the pedals should have been. Somehow during the impact, my feet/legs were merely swept sideways to the passenger seat. Nutted the steering wheel pretty hard , mind - yet another scar on me bonce. When the RAC towed the remnants back to our house the following day, I vividly remember my idiotic neighbour uttering the immortal words "oh, for fucks sake, he's survived". Seems he wasn't too impressed with my regular maintenance and the ever-so-loud exhaust from what was Mitcham Motors. It had a good stereo in it, but you couldn't hear it above 70mph as the exhaust was so loud Plod used to pull me over regularly - that was when we actually had a half-decent plod road presence. So as that was declared a write-off, I saved up and got a Dolly Sprint (my dad had one too) which also was treated to regular Sunday morning maintenance much to his annoyance; with its twin 45's and a straight-through "Mike the Pipe" stainless exhaust. Shit-off-a-shovel fast - about 7 seconds to 70 mph and and inidicated 130mph flat oot. And four ashtrays. Shame the radiator wasn't up to it - too late I found it was from an 1850 and the high-speed rigours of Castle Coombe killed it
