Berd song
« on: June 06, 2010, 07:20:08 AM »
We've got this berd that makes the most delightful noise, but I don't know what it is.
Doin' me head in it is. Banghead

Any 'twitchers' in here....not that anyone would problee admit to it like. lol:

Its tune is extremely wide and varied. No two tweets appear to be the same.
Tweets, chirps, squeaks, whistles, you name it, we get it all, and it goes on for ages.

Sounds like a happy little chappy whatever/whoever he is. cloud9:

There is one near our house that seems to try and immitate the noise of a particular incoming text message, but he never seems to be satisfied with the result. smile:

We take these things for granted

One day last week I was working from home using the patio table as my desk  cloud9:  and as I was doing certain tasks was adding comments to the dictaphone. I never noticed one bird song until I reviewed the dictaphone two days later and was struck by all the song that was going on around me ... lovely

Maybe one of your neighbours has a Canary ~ Norfolk Rollers are said to be the best songsters ~ and perhaps they hang the cage near an open window in the warm weather .... many people do.

If you think it is a "garden" or wild bird listen here to identify it.
Try Blackbird or Robin ~ obviously there are many on the list you can rule out without listening to them. Mallard for example.

No parakeets on the list I see  cry:

I would go with blackbird, robin or thrush all great songsters.
