Pins and needles
« on: June 11, 2010, 06:40:45 AM »
I often sit with one leg tucked under ...I know it is bad but it is a bit of a habit  redface:

Sitting like that this morning and I had a intense pins and needles episode.

After the initial ouch, ouchness of it the later bit ... when your foot or what ever appendage is going back to normal,  I actually find  it quite funny.

You know when you put your foot on the floor and can't feel it or is still tingling and highly sensitive and it makes you giggle.

Ain't the body great  lol:

The only danger is that of causing thrombosis (blood clots) so it is not wise to sit on your leg for too long. You need to move around long before your foot goes "dead".
Top Tip from hospital rules which have nurses forever wandering round wards making the bed ridden uncross their legs.

I often lie in bed with ankles crossed and get very annoyed with nurses who moan on about it but I have to admit they are right.
I used to have a handle on life but it broke.

I know and I know it makes sense ....but my most comfortable position, even when sitting at work, is to tuck one leg under the knee of the other  noooo:

My Mum did that all her life ~ until the arthritis stopped her. Doctor said it was the main cause of the arthritis.
