Wot?

Camp site now closed due to mudslides and severe flooding. Banghead

Nearest site they can transfer us to is Lake Garda 100 miles away.
Weather forecast is bleak however

Lake Garda good. And they have to get you there, maybe save on taxi fares?

No, they won't get us there. That was never part of the deal. They don't do inclusive transfers.

Big rumpusis going on here now, albeit quiet ones.

Growlers jnr want to be by the seaside which is where the now water and mud logged site is/was, so that rules out L.G., and besides L.G. is virtually under the shadow of the Alps....and it's snowing up there apparently. ::)
Mrs G is constantly fretting about not using the flights and how much they cost if we don't go there.
Same as if we do was my answer. ::)
Now I'm slightly worrying about flying over the Alps in possible thunder storms and turbulance now the weather is so bad...apparently.

I thought p'raps BMI might like to change/transfer the flights to a different country for us, but I think we all know what the answer will be. Finger:

This is all turning into a disaster, and Nick will be so pleased.

Much urgent head scratching going on, and the planned trip up 'me 'ill' is now cancelled for tonight. evil:
I'm TRYING to keep everyone happy here and it's proving a major task.

I'll go wherever I'm told is the point I'm reaching.
Be glad to be back at werk in 10 days tbqatth. cloud9:

Far too much ummin' and arrrin', and with time running out someone had to grasp the nettle.

Stuff the weather, stuff the flight, stuff the lot.
I'm past caring and of trying to guess and predict this that and the other. Banghead

No need to look so pleased at the prospect.

He should go to Scotland ~ they have fine weather but there is still snow on the Cairngorms, it is not far to the sea from there, they have mountains he can climb, additionally the people speak English but still try to rip off the tourists. Best of both worlds

Yes I know the destination was not his choice but since it is now not the choice of his family either he should claim his money back and go somewhere else.
Time to take matters under his own inimitable control methinks, put down a firm paw, show people who is the boss and all that.
I used to have a handle on life but it broke.
