No need to look so pleased at the prospect.

He should go to Scotland ~ they have fine weather but there is still snow on the Cairngorms, it is not far to the sea from there, they have mountains he can climb, additionally the people speak English but still try to rip off the tourists. Best of both worlds

Yes I know the destination was not his choice but since it is now not the choice of his family either he should claim his money back and go somewhere else.
Time to take matters under his own inimitable control methinks, put down a firm paw, show people who is the boss and all that.

I mostly despair

Can't be arsed with all the arguements tbqath, and the ranting from Mrs G about losing the money (£800) regarding not taking the flights, as BeMy Baby Airways well NOT refund under any circumstances.
Key camp did offer a full refund on their part however, and are going to refund us a whole £12 for the lack od a/c at the new site, WOW! ::)
They WILL be hearing from me upon return. eveilgrin:
So we're going to the newly designated site at Lake Garda, end of, oh, and for your info Nick, and hate to dissapoint you like, the forecast ISN'T actually that bad for that region now, showers yes, but nice and warm apparently, sorry mate.

I'm really not that bothered tbh.
Zante 2 years ago was a awash with constant storms, and it was actually quite exciting, and the electric storms truly spectacular! cloud9:

I'd love to go to Jockland when the weather is nice. Trouble is, nice weather up there = major midgy problems. sick2:

Sometimes a thread is worthy of being locked ~ this one should, I feel, be mounted in a gilt frame and hung over the fireplace ..... Never could anyone have predicted just how prescient it would have turned out to be. A classic for all time.  lol:

Nooooooooooooooooooooooooo, the Growler Clan will be well on their way now and we await bulletins. My intuition tells me that each day will bring new conflicts and strife.

I voted for the holiday romance for the female cub. I do not expect to be disappointed.
