Fair enough Growler. Did Mini Moose bring home an handsome young italian?

No.

Generally too bloody 'ot for me. 35 c without a breath of wind is far too much imo.
Makes me feel quite ill and then I get a bit 'grumpy'.
You have to know to understand.

You have to realise that I'm a cool climate creature. Norway/Finland?Iceland/Alaska is my territory. cloud9:

Anyone 'ere ever driven around the north side coast road around Lake Garda?

Now I don't scare easy while driving, but I tell you, my kecks rapidly overflowed when I suddenly got plunged from bright sunlight into the total darkness of the very first unlit narrow jagged rock edged tunnel. eeek:
I shudder to think what would have happened if a charabanc had been coming the other way.

Welcome home!  On the subject of scarey roads I am heading to the Col Du Tourmalet in a couple of weeks and I do not like heights should I be worried?  scared2:
It's better than I ever even knew.  They say that the world was built for two.  Only worth living if somebody is loving you.  Baby now you do.

Bestest Highlights of Italy for me?
Simple really.

Proper Italian Lasagne and their own brew of Cappucino. cloud9:

BIG 'ills surrounding Garda. cloud9:

Worstest?

Standard of driving, road signs, bloody speed cameras. random speed limits that keep changing, crap maps,...what is the point of those Michelin ones ey, what? Shrugs:

Too 'ot with little or no breeze.

Venice grossly overated imho, sorry. I can understand why it's so popular, but it's just a very old smelly city sitting on a sewage farm, thievingly expensive, near impossible to navigate your way around, full of Yanks and Japs and a far too many frock, shoe, and 'andbag shops. Banghead
Oh yes, and one or two unfriendly residents too. whistle:

Sadly, I agree. It was like that in the 60's and no different a couple of years ago.

Best seen on film rather than visited noooo:

Another observation.
I'ties and other Europeans bringing their kids up properly.
None of this letting 3-6 year olds stay up running amok like overly excited headless chicklets until midnight, unlike our nationals...mainly the Scots who were most prevelant I hasten to add. ::)
