Not had them myself but understand that a diet with absolutely no fat in it is a way to stop the pain at least.  Hope Mrs Tel gets over it soon.

Have just come back from going with Mrs Tel who had an ultrasound scan.

No comment from clinic apart form telling her that she's not pregnant!  eeek:

Pah that's been done before!  Had to take a trip to the local horsepickle on Sunday grim grim so very bloody grim.  It is no longer a caring profession.  noooo: I was only dropping a sample off but the disdain and disbelief that I was subjected to was unbelievable.  I sympathize with nurses on the whole but if they honestly think that on a gloriously summers day, just for fun and a bit of a jape, I would spend 24 hrs peeing into a pot then decanting said wee into hospital provided containers then waiting for 15 minutes at a ward reception desk whilst being ignored by various members of staff.  This followed by an interrogation as to where the correct paper work was, how would I know I was not given any was just doing as requested.  Followed by a dismissal and a note jotted on a nurses hand.  I rather suspect that when I phone to get the results I will have to repeat the whole thing. The scan was the easy part.
Drinking all the water an hour beforehand was not good for her.
So scan, empty bladder then scan again.
Results in 5 days.

I was left in the waiting area which was filling up with young mums and their first-born and who were giving me strange looks, as though I shouldn't be there.

Results from scan - no stone(s).

Mrs Tel has renal cyst(s) and no I don't have a clue as to what they are.
She is seeing GP at 16:30.
