Could do with more info TBH ~ they are a bit short on detailed spec with these things at Amazon.

If you move everything across chances are you will slow the new lap top down to almost as slow as the old one. Throw out the crap and save all else to a portable hard drive so you can access it when you need it but it won't be cluttering up your new machine.  angel1

No you won't... It just moves your data and programme settings... not the registry stuff which slows everything down...

USB cable is cheapest option for connecting - I use a mini gigabit switch and RJ45 cable, but then I'm awkward.

PCMover (£30 at Amazon including cable) is fine but expensive as a one-off - I read a review a few months ago and it is a one-off, they said that you cannot use a second time.

Email - if Outlook the just copy .PST file(s) over.

I personally would copy all the data to a removable drive and install software as and when needed.
