MM dropped in to a local Travel Lodge, CV in hand, to ask if they had any jobs going?
They were actually interviewing that day for a vacancy as it happens, so invited her in straight away. eeek:

She's just had a phone call to say she's got the job (weekends cleaning the rooms) and starts this Saturday. eeek:

I know. Unbelievable in'it? eeek:

Some poor buggars apply for hundreds of jobs, and stay unemployed for years...including one or two in here sadly  cry:, and she just walks in off the street after having dropped in at one garden centre en route to leave a CV, and she gets the job!
I know it's not a fantastic job, but she is one happy teddy.
Trouble is, Growler jnr's now vacant job post IS going to advertised this coming weekend.
Bloody typical. ::)

Zoo is only seasonal, where as TL is permanent albeit only weekends.

She'll no doubt be getting herself into a lather now. ::)

Excellent news well done that girl.
I have always thought that the worst thing about drowning was having to call 'help!' You must look such a fool. It's put me against drowning.

Madam's school report came through the post yesterday ..addressed to me naturally.

A4 brown envelope sealed at the back with some very dodgy sellotape work  rubschin:

Upon enquiring as to whether The Brat had opened it I was met with the usual protestations of injustice, you never believe me etc etc etc .

So I left it.

A few hours later I went to get something out of my bedside cabinet....and noticed that stuff had been taken out.

"What were you after from my bedside table " I asked her

"Nuffink , Jeeeezzzzzzzzzzzzz "  she says .." I just needed some sellotape "  doh:

I though the schools had all finished but this morning at the one opposite it was business as usual.
Well nearly, there were lots of flowers being carried, presumably for the teachers.

Then at kicking out time a pink stretched limo pulls up outside. The mother and grandmother start video-recording the limo.
What the hell is happening - I know about school proms etc, but this is a PRIMARY school!

Latest American fad to hit the UK.
Schools local to here have this "Graduation" .... Primary school children dressed up. Boys in hired tuxedos, girls made up to the nines and wearing clothes you wouldn't believe. And then the parents wonderwhy the little darlings get attacked. Gets even worse when they finish their GCSEs. Aged 15 and the teachers organised the party at a local night club for them. £30 per kid and all the booze you could want. The management called the police in the end.
I used to have a handle on life but it broke.

MM actually started today. I thought it was a H&S course she was doing. ::)

Todays report:

Puke all over 1 bed.  sick2:

Bog completely ripped out of the floor with water gushing from it.
Occupant apparently complained that the bog was faulty this morning, and received a full refund.
