BBC World Service via headphones gets me through the night without disturbing anyone else.

Wondered that, but me guts don't seem to like vast quantities anymore unfortunately.
I end up with raging indigestion all night long coupled with the most monstrous of 'ed aches...... 'round the back of me 'ed for some strange reason. Shrugs:

What? Every two hours virtually within the minute?

Every time I wake up I know what time it is.
It's almost turned into a rancid unwanted competition of guessing accurately now. cussing:

First one last night I guessed as soon as i woke.
I was a mere 2 minutes out.

WHY?
Leave me alone!!!! Banghead

It's the call of the wild ~ you should be catching salmon and fattening up ready for the long winter hibernation but the rotten weather has upset your body clock.

Correct, and why?

Because I'll get the same old shite they spout out to everyone else, age, too tired, anxiety,me illness, eating too late, bodyclock, me 'ormones, the weather, lah de dah de diddly dum. sleep017
She'll then try prescribing me with some poison in the form of sedatives or sleeping tablets or some other such shite to keep the rancid thieving scheming farmasuitical companies going.

I meant nothing of the sort ~ I just know that you don't trust doctors (neither do I much TBH) and I know that Mrs G is into "alternatives" which you also don't believe in.
Not much else any of us can suggest other than to tell you of our personal ways of handling it. I know that Nick doesn't sleep well and I certainly don't ever get a full night without waking several times. We both tend to listen to the radio and frankly I catch up in an armchair during the afternoons. Now why this should be I don't know. I have tried sleeping pills but they are (i) addictive and (ii) they cease to have any effect after a while so you move on to stronger doses and that's not a good idea.
Maybe it is an age thing, maybe you have too much on your mind, maybe you are worrying about something or maybe like me you have just got into the habit of it. One thing I do know and that is if you are really tired you will sleep (As I do some afternoons).

Glad you liked the video ~ see any laydees there you fancied?
I find I sleep very well after a bit of the other. whistle:
