I have hic ups and they will be here with me for a while.
I have always thought that the worst thing about drowning was having to call 'help!' You must look such a fool. It's put me against drowning.

Now I am happy with the spelling of Hic ups so why do people in the printing werld insist upon calling them Hiccoughs?

I used to get very bad attacks of them, some lasted for days. Not funny when you go to bed and you still have them when you wake up.
Worst cause was tinned beer.

I eventually found that sucking an ice-cude cured them.

They stayed a while and they were bloody painful.  I don't get them very often these days but got them a lot in my youth at one stage had to take anti spasmodic medicine. sick2:
