I was sent this recently...

GOW - I have to be a bit leary on here. I first joined as "Captivebolt" and I was admittedly IN YER FACE about shooting. I like the site, and now keep schtum about some aspects of my approach to wild life. I shoot foxes, rabbits, pest birds, tree rats, and antis. Whoops, only joking.
I wouldn't dream of catching a hedgepig, cutting its throat to let it bleed out, gutting it, packing the body cavity with sliced apples, sage, and onion, wrapping it in 2 inches of clay, putting it in the bottom of a firepit, having a bonfire then leaving it to bake in the embers. If when I lifted it out with a stick, whacked the clay with a rock and split it open, stripped the meat out and it smelled wonderful, I would of course throw it away and grass meself up to the ArsePac.
They are better eating earlier in the year. They build up body fat during the summer and taste greasy later on. Spring is best. (Hedgies, not Arsepac)
Not that I'd know of course.

Ric

I would give it a go. redface:

I have always thought that the worst thing about drowning was having to call 'help!' You must look such a fool. It's put me against drowning.
