My PC has been running quite S  L  O  W  L  Y  for some time...

Decided to have a look tonight and it appeared that FireFox was using ~55% of all PC time (3GHz Pentium D - 4Gbyte RAM).

So a quick play and I discovered that it was the Skype add-on for Firefox (automatically loaded when you install Skype) that was gobbling up all the performance.

Disabled it (Tools >>> Add-ons >>> Extensions) and I have my old PC back!  cloud9:

Firefox is pants!! USE CHROME!

Chrome was pants when I tried it last...  noooo:

I have one ~ I was thinking of Skyping (sp?) nakid but wife said it would scare the horses. confused:

Bless you luv. 'Fraid not ~ these days I can't even see my feet let alone anything else.
Weight is loading on despite diets etc. It is lack of exercise but if you can't walk what can you do?

Yes Pastis I am booked in with physio who runs Tia Chi classes but not looking forward to making an arse of myself in front of old ladies older but fitter than me. Apparently I have to wear a heart monitor and BP cuff the whole time.
