Bitten or poisoned... ?
« on: August 29, 2010, 04:38:35 PM »
I've either been bitten by an insect or some nasty piece of flora has poisoned me  surrender:
My wrist is swollen locally and the precise point of the "invasion" is white whilst all around is red and inflamed  eeek:
It's oozing or weeping, I'm not sure which describes it best. Just what you need on an effing bank holiday, eh?  evil:
Like the Buddhist said to the hot dog vendor...
"Make me one with everything"

Whack a hot poultice over it man!

And before you expire there is the little matter of your slate and those buttons you dropped in the swear box need replacement with silver coinage.

Serious moment ~ have you any deer in that park you wander through? If so it is possible you have picked up a tick. It's not just dogs that get bitten.

Ticks can also be picked up where sheep and hedgehogs are to be found.

From your description and assuming you are not normally allergic to everyday bites and stings it is a possibility to be investigated before it gets worse.

It's been smeared with Hydrocortisone and latterly Itch Eze+ Creme™ (typical Aussie brand*) but continues to weep  cry:

As for the slate; might turn out to be a BAD DEBT  eeek:

*Aussie Chardonnay seems to work however

The Chardonnay is only an anesthetic not an antibiotic.

The only deer in the park over the road are old dears  ;)

I was however tidying a neighbour's garden on Friday and think I might have either been bitten by something or brushed up against a prickly nasty exotic plant  rubschin:
