Well, they wouldn't; you'll go into the changing room, put your kit in a locker and realise that you need a padlock to secure it. You then go back out to Reception and say "Can I borrow a padlock?" and they'll say they're sorry, but they can sell you one.
Well that's the routine down here  evil:

Padlocks are for members only  lol:

We have swipey cards things .

Sounds like you had a good session then. But yes most in that area will be in basements with little natural lighting. I can use any Fitness First and there are a couple around there but to be honest it's not worth it - they are so busy at peak times ( mornings , lunch times and evenings ) that they give you a time limit on the machines - 15mins on the treadmill only for example  evil:

Day 2 in the subterranean meat locker. My oriental calisthenics attracted some interest today as I went through various routines with additional hand weights; a Taekwondo guy thought I was doing Wing Chung so I corrected him and the Aussie receptionist thought it looked magic ... didn't feel like it as I was sweating like the proverbial porker!

I added a 20 min session whacking the hell out of the punch bag in the Box-a-pod ... that felt good  razz:

Rounded off with a swim and steam before the gaggle of harridans started their manic punchathon-beat-scream-push-sweat thing in the studio. It really is so unnecessary  noooo:

The amiable Ally ran the costs past me and the best they can do is a 50 quid monthly on a 3 month contract; I don't think it's for me as mostly, apart from the swim and steam, I can do out in the park.  rubschin:
