Wrong, wrong, wrong, wrong wrong.

Not that you shouldn't have yorkshires with chicken , as far as I'm concerned yorkshires can be an accompaniment to any meal but for  Aunt Bessie to decide to  make 'special' yorkshires...with a hint of sage and onion  ::) especially for chicken is ridonculous

They claim to be leading a roastie revolution  noooo:

My ex wife (who comes from Yorkshire) was doing this 40 years ago. She got it from her mother so it is nothing new. I'll tell her to sue Aunt Bessie.


And yes I agree .... to my Southern taste buds it was and still is wrong.

Aunt Bessies is just so wrong. How bloody difficult can it be to make them. I always add an extra egg white and have on occasions added mixed herbs too.

Now I'm hungry, which to be honest is my "default setting" these days

I delivered one (Attempted rape on a campus we guarded) in perfect condition to the Met. The following morning in court he was a hell of a mess. Apparently the two laydeee officers who escorted him to the cells failed to catch him as he fell down the stairs. Yorkshire puds are suitable for 2 or 3 courses.

Can be served with gravy as a starter
with main meal
with jam etc as a sweet.

Economical.

Same as making porage and keeping in a drawer for up to a week (or so), cut a piece out when hungry.

Ex wife's family often had Yorkshire pud filled with gravy, plate sized per person, as a "starter" with the rest of Sunday lunch to follow. I have known my ex MiL also serve it again at the end of the meal with jam and custard as a pudding....... One can have too much of a good thing.   tunble:
