Not wishing to upset any ex-matelots but
« on: October 22, 2010, 02:38:01 PM »
In the RAF we had a saying about the Royal Navy, not very polite but it boiled down to:
"Couldn't find their own arse with a searchlight ~ give us a call and we'll fly out and tell 'em where they are"

It seems nothing has changed in 30 years.

The Royal Navy's newest and largest attack submarine HMS Astute has run aground off Skye, the Ministry of Defence (MoD) has confirmed.

Described as the stealthiest ever built in the UK, the boat was being out through sea trials and was not armed.

Just imagine what the silly fuckers will do with the world's largest aircraft carriers.

HMS Astute ~ Skye has only been there, in the same place, for several million years.

Rename it HMS Troutbridge and send for Leslie Phillips to navigate. "Left hand down a bit Mr Mate" "Aye Aye Sir Left hand down a bit it is"
