Gobby the house elf is another one (not mine, I hasten to add).

I'll confess to once upon a time being called

Dobbin!
"Political Correctness is a doctrine fostered by a delusional, illogical minority, and rabidly promoted by an unscrupulous mainstream media, which holds forth the proposition that it is entirely possible to pick up a turd by the clean end."

Well, someone had to say it!

After the horse?

Pray tell us why, even if it's rude. Especially if it's rude, come to think of it.

Nick recently gained the name Captain Cataclysm although I'm not sure anyone told him yet  point:

Growler will confirm that one of the local free papers here uses a badger (person dressed as:) to advertise itself. Said human badger was out here the other day. I refused to talk to it.

A class read-through of David Copperfield (as a play) in which I gave, I felt, a sterling performance as Uriah Heep, complete with wringing hand gestures, cringing manner etc that resulted in my being called "Humble", by teachers and pupils alike, for the rest of my school days.  redface:
I used to have a handle on life but it broke.

I did think of that, as well as General Cock Up but while appropriate neither sounded right  point:
