I was listening to some thing on the wireless a while back about technology...

It was claimed that it was the porn industry that championed VHS over Betamax because of the relative cheapness of the recording equipment. Also, that the porn industry resisted the introduction of the HD standard quite strongly because of the truth that it would reveal about the state of most of their 'stars' and their bits....  whistle:

You really have to learn how Hollywood werks in Black and White.

It's all done by visual/verbal metaphors like.

WESTERNS
Black Hat = Baddy
White hat = Goody
Dirty Hat = Drunk
Bowler Hat = Salesman or Doctor

WAR FILMS
German Accent = Nazi
German with English Accent = Gestapo or anti Nazi (depending on if his name appears above or below the title)
French Accent = Liable to be the villain or traitor (See also Greek or Italian) but may be on "our side" .... last reel will reveal all about his allegiances. He will get shot either way.
Cockney Accent = Chirpy British Squaddy/Matelot, May be a bit of a lad but will come good in the end.
Eton Accent = Decent Chap, Officer, Bit set in his ways but will follow orders.
Middle and Upper Class accent with Moustache = RAF Officer
Scottish Accent = Engineering Officer ("She cannae tak any more Captain")
