It's a clever idea that the plot is we're watching a 1950s then 1960s sit com through the eyes of a sinister back plot but they could and should have covered that duplicity in 5 minutes and not two episodes of mostly cringey sit com

From what I understand they are trying to compress at least 3 major storylines into a single series, if that is the cast I just can't see any way that it could work.
