The solicitor turns up this morning (for our first ever meeting) 15 minutes before the hearing and requests to see the court papers. He takes a quick look at them and tells me he cannot represent me because his sister is the lawyer from the other side....."I'm sorry but you need to get somebody else"  eeek:

I very nicely asked him to come into court and explain the situation. The judge was having a break, so after 15 or 20 minutes he tells me to sit inside the court and wait for my case to be called. Thirty minutes later there is another court break and everyone else clears off, I walk outside only to find the solicitor/w@nker has feckked off and will not answer my calls.  cussing: cussing:.......back into court after the judge has finished polishing hers nails or summat.  cussing: Then we have to wait for my court file to be delivered and also for a translator to turn up. I finally got seen at 11:50 and took the time to spell out a few home truths about the Cyprus Bar Association, the president of the same association, the w@nker who did 'a runner' and left me in the lerch plus most of the local legal practises and their approach in being "possibly corrupt IMHO".

I managed to get it adjourned for a few weeks. Oh and yes........ APC is correct I am now also on a contempt of court charge.  Wankah: I think that might have something to do with me mentioning the solicitors practise in Nicosia who were the first lot to sue and win in a case against another legal practise on the island. " I better get them in to stir you lot up" probably was not the best part of my defence.  redface:

A zyder fest looms I feel. eveilgrin:
