I've been on a self-imposed diet for about a month or so now... basically no bread (not even Barman's Seed Bread) and no fried stuff...  noooo:

Today I had an absolute craving for a bacon sandwich!  Drool:

I couldn't put it off... eventually I had to walk down to the village and buy a loaf of bread... got back to find the Best Before date on the bacon was the beginning of October!  cussing:

Anyhoo, I cooked it along with two eggs and have just had the most delicious feast in the whole universe... egg went everywhere of course...  Drool:

Didn't have Best Before when I was a kid - you ate it if it didn't smell bad or look mouldy....  ;)

Didn't have Best Before when I was a kid - you ate it if it didn't smell bad or look mouldy....  ;)

I've cut the mould off before now, and I've lost count how many times I've ate half a sandwich, then discovered its mouldy... ;D

Exactly , most things in Cyprus don't come prepackaged , esp meat , never been sick yet ......

I love the way they wrap the cheese in waxed paper and seal it with sellotape...  cloud9:
