The flat is already wired (fibre optic) for Virgin Broadband, so I have just called them and they are going to install all the necessary kit next Monday (allegedly).  cloud9:

Just checking Nick but does your sister have fibre to cabinet or fibre to home. If you can get fibre to home then you can in theory end up with gigabit broadband, BT are trialling this around my neck of the woods next year (its great living near the research labs  cloud9: ).

Right. For the last year or so I have been operating off a broadband dongle which has often been insufferably slow  Banghead  My sis has wi-fi at her house and the internet was at F1 speed all weekend  cloud9:

The flat is already wired (fibre optic) for Virgin Broadband, so I have just called them and they are going to install all the necessary kit next Monday (allegedly).  cloud9:

WHat can possibly go wrong?

 noooo:...should have got sky...
