Do I detect a note of resignation in the tone of that post?
I used to have a handle on life but it broke.

Is it possible, theoretically like, that a Broadband base station might, in theory, scramble your TV picture and make everyone on the news sound like Donald Duck, like?

If I put the base station in the middle of my kitchen floor the interference stops. But then I fall over it  noooo:

My router is sort of connected to my TV because I have the type of TV that can be used as a PC monitor as well as a TV, although not simultaneously obviously. The same router, connected to the PC by ethernet cable, also serves as a wireless router for the rest of the house. It sits on a shelf above the TV which is also connected to a Freeview decoder/recorder and a DVD player that sit on a shelf below the router.
I have no truck with BT and use another telephone service provider. The router is Netgear. angel1
