What would be the point of drilling a hole in the wall then? Shrugs:

To move the router to another room you big mong  Banghead

Another option could be a powerline adaptor. These use the electrical wiring around the home to create a hardwire network connection. In theory as long as they are on the same circuit you could run the cable from the phone line to one adaptor and then run the network cable from the other adaptor to the router.

Yes but this could allow Nick to move the router away from the TV without having a wire trailing everywhere.....

But he could do that with a telephone extension lead...

A Home Plug or Powerline adaptor only allows him to move the PC away from the router...

But we plan to move back to England in about three years time .... Nick, I was hoping, would be my 'on the spot' adviser on schools, colleges, suitable residential areas, property prices, broadband availability etc in Middle England like.

What could possibly go wrong?  whistle:
