Thanks Snoops, still have noticeable half hamster face but a degree better than yesterday. Have only 1 day's worth of antibiotics left so things had better improve tomorrow. We'll see. 
My Mother always said that she wished she knew which of the 28 antibiotic tablets was the one that worked and she would be able to throw away the rest of the course to leave only the last one to take. Mind you she also used to tell the painkillers which part of her hurt "So that they know where to go dear ~ after all if you read the instructions they are suitable for headaches, toothache, backache, period pain ...... It is all very confusing for them"
