Once upon a time, during a very cold winter, a little bird failed to migrate. As the winter became even colder and food became scarce the little bird found he could no longer muster the strength to fly and he fell to the ground. As he lay there waiting to die a cow came along and shat on him. The warmth of the cow-pat revived the little bird and he started to sing. Hearing this singing cow-pat a cat came to investigate and dug out the little bird which it then promptly ate.

This proves that it isn't necessarily your enemies who shit on you nor your friends who dig you out.
