Loose porridge oats and use the microwave. It's as quick as Readybrek and tastes better.

Thing is I only like Quaker porridge oats ...and yes I can tell the difference and would be willing to do taste tests to prove it !!!!

I make porridge in the microwave using jumbo oats.  Supposed to be good for yer heart. Yesterday I bought some Channel Island milk redface: I rather think that using it this morning cancelled out the good properties of the oats. noooo:

I found out when pregnant for the first time that proper oats have to have a soup spoon of butter and sugar added right at the end.  Delicious.
