New beer ....   what is it ..........

That new real ale - the Aphodite's Rock brewery place thingy.....

Not yet... was invited to the launch party but was busy....
missed free beer......

They are open three days a week now...

Had some last night. It is ok but expensive for what it is.

Went to the Giraffe in Pissouri last night to sample the beer...

They had Yorkshire Rose on the hand pump - 3.8% abv.... €3 per pint.

I have to tell you it was bloody gorgeous! 

He had the (19 litre) barrel in a fridge connected to a hand pump on a nice wooden base that the brewery provided. Apparently proper coolers are being provided later...

Also tried some Lian Shee Irish Red Ale in bottles -4.5% abv - €3.50 per bottle - very nice...

Almost all the people in there were drinking it - the landlord doubled his order for the next day while I was there...

It was the Irish beer that I tried. As I said for 3.50 a bottle the Fishing Shack has many other better beers for the same price, some cheaper.

The Keg & Barrel have got the hand pump one in. They put the beer upstairs, nobody told them how the hand pump pulls the beer up through the pipe. So when they poured their first pint the beer would not stop flowing and the whole barrel emptied itself into the bar.
