I have spent the last two days and nights in hospitial with her. I forcibly took her there as she was wanting to end her own life.

It transpires she was attacked several months ago by a stranger and has kept this bottled up . I still don't know all the details but she has at least divulged this to the relevant professionals who have spoken to her.

We came home last night and now we attempt to start rebuilding slowly....with support. However all this relies on her co-operation.

However she would like me to  stop 'fussing'  now  noooo: noooo: noooo:

Poor little girl (which is what they all are to us Mum's no matter how old they get and sincerely poor poor you - if you want to off load (privately) PM me - here for you  razz:

How awful.  noooo:
You must be at your wits end.

Keeping the right distance between 'fussing' and 'not caring' will be a hard balance to keep.

You will manage I am sure and hopefully the spoken and unspoken support from the VP members will help a little.  happy100

What DS and others have said.

Its their lives that they are living, we always hope that they will look to us for support when they need it.   Trouble is they are young adults and need to try and deal with things for themselves.  At least you are included in this now and can work through this together.

Good Luck with it all.   happy100

It's better than I ever even knew.  They say that the world was built for two.  Only worth living if somebody is loving you.  Baby now you do.

I have always thought that the worst thing about drowning was having to call 'help!' You must look such a fool. It's put me against drowning.

surrender:

Is Miss D dead?

No I'm here .

I am not up to talking much at the moment  -  I really cannot tell you how traumatic the last few days have been ( Brat related )  so for the moment I am watching and laughing on the sidelines until I feel stronger and more able to banter.

Miss D fear not sweet lady we are going to have a banter whip round, any and all banter collected will be sent directly to you.  Once that one is done we are going to have a second whip round and each and every one of us will be throwing a little (or a lot) of strength into the pot, that to will be sent directly to you.

We were going to sign you up for 'fuss/being there tightrope walking lessons but we couldn't find an appropriate course, however we actually all know that you know your daughter and will (most of the time ) get the balance just right, and for those moments when you don't get it 'quite right' we know that you have the strength to weather the storm.

One step at a time cause most of us are to decrepit to keep up with anything else.  xxxx
