Quote from: Barman on May 15, 2019, 04:39:50 AMMoany... I get up at 0445 for work (start at 0700). Today is my first day off and - as has become the norm - I wake up at 0445...despite no alarm being set or anyfink Still, only 3 1/2 hours until "breakfast" of a few pints of the dark stuff. Will probably meet Terry (no, no that one) who is a character. And a total pisshead.
Moany...

He latched on to me about a year ago, when he noticed that I always finished the crossword in about 5 minutes flat, while he had only done about 1/2 of it after an hour. If I went outside for a ciggie, I used to see him wander over and look at my answers. Eventually, he plonked 2 pints of Guinness in front of me as "payment" for my help. He is currently unemployed after being in the pub trade for decades, he used to be the governor of the Lamb and Flag in Covent Garden and has some great tales of the shenanigans that used to go on. An Arsenal fan, so obviously slightly simple
