A cake with a train track?!?! Such combinations are mythical surely?

I know I for one never saw any photographic evidence suggesting otherwise!

As mentioned on here before up here folks have dinner at 1pm and tea at 5pm.

Following on from the debacle that was staying with Mr C's parents shortly after moving out, as is my wont, I sent them a card thanking them for their hospitality, sick2:, and telling them that it would be lovely if they came and saw their son's new home.  I also invited them for tea on Sunday 5th February.  This was a specific written invitation for a specific time and date.

I had no response.  Since we moved out they have not been here.  I would like to say that I had laid the table, complete with cakestand and purchased some tinned salmon, limp lettuce, evaporated milk and Mr Kipling apple pies (the 'stuff they like' for 'The Tea') but I did not as I suspected that they would not turn up.

Needless to say they did not turn up.  To me this is the height of bloody rudeness and ignorance and I am in a fury.

In days gone by The Harridan commented several times to Mr C that she liked me because I was bought up properly and always sent 'thank you' letters.

To dispel my fury I have written several letters and emails but I have not sent any but I am not sure that I will be able to contain myself much longer. censored: Explode:

P'raps your carrier pigeon was eaten by t'whippet on arrival and they have not seen the invitation ... try a 'phone call or send Mr C round to enquire.
