just made the most gorgeous potato salad. Boil some diced pots, let them cool and add the following..........salt, pepper, english mustard, mayo, chopped chives and lemon juice. Only enough to coat the potatoes, dont drown them in mayonaise.

Its a gordon ramsay recipe.. I made it to go with my homemade burgers for tonights bbq and have nearly finished it. yummy.

Sounds yumster to me. I would swap English mustard for wholegrain mustard.  I have some goose eggs and have just been given 6 duck eggs and 20 hens eggs. I think I will be making lemon curd and meringues over the next few days.  A poached goose egg on spinach may be on the menu tonight. cloud9:

Never tried a goose egg - are they any good?

I shouldn't think you'd want two though!

IMO Goose eggs of any sort are good. Actually that is not true as I have never had a golden one but I am sure that if ever I did it would be good.

The season is practically over now but if you like eggs next time you see one I would suggest you try it.

From the back of a Sainsbury's Arborio rice packet ... Lemon & Rocket Risotto ...  Drool: Drool:

This bird has nicked the recipe from the back of the packet to the letter, but more importantly it werks

http://astylishbirdietoldme.blogspot.co.uk/2011/08/recipes-lemon-and-rocket-risotto.html

Needs patience and add the stock a little at a time ... 15 ~ 20 minutes. I served with pork meatballs and more salad ... Yumster  Thumbs:

Looks good, I shall give that one a try, but use watercress instead of rocket (not a lover of rocket)  Lots of dishes I do have a splash of lemon juice added at the end, always lifts the flavours

I watched The Hungry Sailors for the first time last night, they seem to do some basic but good stuff, I shall be having a closer look at some of their recipes

I'd hazard a guess that fresh watercress can be more peppery than rocket, which is no bad thing. Last year I was treated to a meal at Locanda Locatelli  ( http://www.locandalocatelli.com/ ) and had the mushroom risotto which was unbelievable   Drool: Drool: Drool:
I suspect there was a dash of citrus in there but hardly noticeable.

I have been invited to a hands on pork butchery event. I wonder if there will be any cider there. rubschin:
