Well done you Miss D.  Yeah, you just let me know where they are... cos I know folk (of all skills, colours, races....  and although they are all sweethearts they look scarey!).

 

Ooo I'm thinking concrete pillars built into bridges and bodies steamrollered into Tarmac.  Do you know people who can do the steamrollering thing Tipsy?

I don't think rollers are driven by steam any more dear... 

Fred Dibnah might have had a word or two to say on that if he were still above ground.   Anyhoo aren't they still called steam rollers?

Many moons ago when I was still laying roads Fred Dibnah  pulled inside our works and asked if he could fill his steam engine up with water from our stand-pipe. He disappeared in the pub across the road, downed two pints and returned just as it was full. Obviously a well practised operation. Thinking back, I wonder how many times/pints he did that in a day
