Another shift down, 1 to go. Offloaded another bastard Paphos on my own at 01:30*. Only 116 bags, but I'm sure every one with stuffed with at least 30kgs of Halloumi. I will ache when I wake up later.

*when I say on my own, I mean I arrived at the stand - aircraft waiting to enter the stand, no-one else there, not even someone to see it in - I did the "FOD" walk, started the stand entry guidance system, chocked it, powered it, coned it, opened the holds, checked both rear holds were empty - then a Ramp supervisor turned up with a loading belt, I guided him on to the front hold, he got inside and started putting the bags on the loading belt, I loaded them on to the baggage carts, then I took them to reclaim and tipped them off. Last bag delivered 24 minutes after the aircraft officially arrived "on blocks".

What is the post Brexit position for Brits seeking to work in Cyprus?

I'd have guessed it was similar to the UK that if already resident just lots of paperwork but if seeking to migrate to get a job would need to show it was filling a high value role that couldn't be filled locally.
Well, whatever, nevermind

Everything here involves lots of paperwork!  lol:

I've got some friends working through the process at the moment, lots of paperwork (and a lawyer) involved but it seems to be going quite smoothly - they plan to move out full-time at the beginning of September...

Well, that's it. Done. Very emotional night. Got spoilt rotten - 48 pint cans of Stella, Barbour slippers, a box of dominoes, new hair clippers, a fabulous bottle of Moet & Chandon (extra special bottle apparently) wonderful card signed by 150 people and £200 "because you'll need to go to the pub to relax and wind down" more hugs and kisses than a Hollywood celeb-fest.

The a special treat - Airfield Ops picked me up in their 4x4 and we did 2 runway inspections, dodging between arriving and departing planes. First was a condition report, second a runway lights inspection. FUCK ME THEY ARE BRIGHT. Phone camera doesn't do it justice.
