The Border Agency at Gatwick open thousands of bags every day. Generally they were only looking for excess cigarettes and so certain routes were more routinely checked than others. Anywhere from a "dodgy" place would have the sniffer dogs too.

Never saw them opening any bags from Amsterdam though  rubschin:

When I flew back from Amsterdam Special Branch tracked us all the way and pounced on us when we landed at While Waltham!  ;D

They thought the plane would be full of porn and drugs - sadly for them it was full of cheap beer....  whistle:
