Prolly the same religious nutters who've been writing Arabic prayers on Turkish Airline engines.  All under the gaze of non existent airside security in Turkey.   I kid you not  scared2:

Another Turkish nightmare today, although possibly not their fault.

The plane came in and we were told there were 3 cats, separately caged that would be whisked off to quarantine.

When the hold was opened, there were 3 cages but only 2 cats. The door of the 3rd cage was ajar. It was just as my colleague noticed this that a flying furry feline hurtled past him, down the loading belt and disappeared towards the building works on pier 5.

A major search ensued involving what seemed like half of the airport.

After 2 hours it was spotted and it was decicedly too close to the perimeter fence.

So a marksman shot it.

Iraqi Airways is one of ours...as it goes from the South terminal,  I am rarely involved with it, but I had the pleasure. ..

...a few nights ago,  Baghdad bound 43 passengers (the plane has 170 or so seats) and 97 bags. All of which are stupidly heavy.

Generous baggage allowance,  obviously.

What worries me most though is that the Border Farce come and inspect every single bag once they get to us. They have already been scanned twice, so what are the scanners not detecting that requires manual intervention?

Or are they just swinging the lead for a bit of overtime. ..

The whole security thing is a complete farce IMHO!  cussing:

I was meant to finish at 1600 today, having started at 0400.

It was quite obvious (to me at least) that only having 5 blokes on after 1700 on the last Friday before Christmas was foolhardy.  Thus at about 1545 a worried looking supervisor scurried out of his office and offered double money to do 2 hours overtime.  I rejected it flatly.

I would have happily taken a nifty £50, but such was his panic he came back with £100 on top. I reluctantly agreed...

As I was about to leave at 1800, the bags were piling up again..."another hour for an extra £50"...

I'm such a whore
